About
Jake Epelle
Ambassador Jake Epelle is a renowned African visionary leader and global advocate dedicated to advancing the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs)
His life’s work is guided by the conviction that PWDs should be intentionally considered and integrated into all aspects of society, creating a more inclusive world for everyone.
Jake Epelle
Born with albinism on May 5, 1961, Epelle experienced firsthand the societal stigma and challenges often associated with this condition.
However, his father and stepmother instilled in him a strong sense of self-worth, propelling him to transform these early experiences into a platform for positive change.
CHANGING PERSPECTIVES
By placing PWDs at the heart of African development, TAF Africa has become a prominent voice in advocacy, offering support, education, and empowerment to individuals and communities.
In 2006, he founded The Albino Foundation (TAF) to raise awareness about albinism. Over time, the organization’s mission evolved to address the broader issues faced by all persons with disabilities—leading to the creation of The All Rights Foundation Africa (TAF Africa).
